U6 Team

Well done to our fantastic U6 footballers this morning who travelled to Keel for their very first match.

Thank you very much to Keel for hosting the youngest members of our club on a fabulous morning.

All the players done very well, playing some great football and showing off the great skills all their fantastic coaches have taught them. A sincere thank you to Susan and all of her coaching team for their hard work.

U8 Boys Team

What a busy couple of nights for our juvenile members with a big thank you to Laune Rangers GAA for hosting games with our U8 Girls, U8 Boys and U10 Boys.

Our U8 and U10 boys team played some excellent football last night showing the fantastic skills their coaches have been teaching them over the past couple of months. Well done to all the players and coaches.

U8 Girls Team

The following night it was the turn of our U8 girls this evening and they also performed brilliantly against our neighbours Laune Rangers showing some outstanding skills along the way.

A big thank you to all of the coaches, Covid supervisors, parents for traveling to support and well done to all of the players who done our club proud

U12 Teams

Well done to both our U12 sides tonight who played some fantastic football on the way to their two victories. Many thanks to to good An Ghaeltacht sides who made the journey east and provided this evenings opponents.

Our U12 Green Team raced into a good halftime lead playing some fantastic football they led Half time 5-08 to 1-04. Our U12 side held on to there lead well against the visiting team with the final score reading Milltown/Castlemaine Green 5-16 v 5-09 An Ghaeltacht.

Our U12 White Team faired equally as well. A strong first half saw our U12s go into the break leading by 4-09 v 1-01 and despite the visiting team coming back into the game again our U12s played very well and held onto a good lead leaving the final score Milltown/Castlemaine White 4-12 v 5-07 An Ghaeltacht.

Well done to both teams on what was their last outing of the year. Well done to Mike Quirke for spearheading the coaching team this year and after the game Mike also wanted to thank everyone involved in this years U12 set up.

Both Mike and all at the club wish to pay special thanks to Haulie Clifford and Dave O’Connor for setting up each training session and also to John Edwards, John Downes and Philip o Reilly in assisting with coaching.

And also a special thanks to all the covid supervisors who volunteered their time during every training session and on match days - Catherine, Eileen, Margaret, Maura, Marie,Susan, Norma and Sean.

As with all our juvenile teams everyone at Milltown/Castlemaine sincerely appreciates the time and effort from you all. Well done to all the players and the whole U12 team.

Coiste na nÓg - Sept Week 1...

U10 Girls Team

Well done to our U10 Girls Team who played some fantastic football in Spa this evening.

Many thanks to Spa for hosting the girls and well done to the Spa teams who also played very well.

U14 White Team

Our U14 Green Team played very well this evening only to miss out by the narrowest of margins.

Our team made the journey to Rathmore and took a one goal lead in at the break with the score at halftime Milltown/Castlemaine 2-04 v 1-04 Rathmore.

Our boys were to raise the green flag twice more in the second half whereas and equally impressive home team put 10 points over the bar. In the finish there was not much between the two team and well done to Rathmore just came away with the win. The final score Milltown/Castlemaine 4-07 v 2-14 Rathmore.

U8 BOYS TEAM

Well done to our U8 boys team this morning, and thank you very much to our hosts Keel for some great matches.

There was some great football played in the early morning sunshine. Thank you also to the parents who made the trip to support, to officials for helping referee the games and to the coaches for preparing the boys for their games.

Well done to our U10 footballers this evening who travelled to play Dr Crokes in Killarney.

Well done to Garry Murphy and all of the U10 coaches for the work they have put in at training. It is clearly working as there was some fantastic football played all over the field.

U12 Teams

A fantastic evening at Keel GAA Grounds with our Under 12 teams.

Both our teams and St. Senans played some fantastic football.

A huge thank you to all the coaches and mentors from both clubs.

 

Lovely to hear the encouragement and positivity on the sidelines.

While St. Senans proved to be the stronger on the pitch, our boys in green and white kept on going until the final whistle.

A special mile buiochas to Keel GAA for giving us the use of their pitch again while our own is out of action due to development work.

We also appreciate Ger and Adam our two referees this evening. You both acquitted yourselves very well.

U10 BOYS

Well done to both of our U10 teams this evening who travelled to play Na Gaeil in Tralee.

 

All players played fantastic football on both sides and all games were great, competitive contests.

U8 Girls

A big well done to all of our U8 girls team tonight as they all played fantastic football on their visit to Spa GAA.

Thank you to our hosts Spa for a wonderful evening. Well done to all the coaches and a big thank you for the time you put into training the girls.

U12 Teams

Here are our 2 Under 12 teams who enjoyed a great even of football in Ardfert this Sunday evening.

The Green team battled hard and put in a great performance but their opponents notched up a few more scores than them.

The White team equally put in a fantastic effort and came from behind to secure a draw. Thanks to Karen, Georgina, Katie, Aoife and Danny for joining the White team this evening and playing very well.

A huge thanks to Mike Quirke and his fellow mentors for all their work in training these young boys and girls.

A huge amount of additional work is now involved because of Covid 19 regulations.

We all appreciate your commitment.

Thanks too to David for his refereeing skills and to Philip for the great photos.

U14 Teams

Well done to our U14 Green side this evening who produced a fantastic footballing display to get the win against North Kerry side Ballyduff in phase 2 of this years county League.

Some fantastic play all over the field saw our U14s win by a score of Milltown/Castlemaine 5-23 v 3-07 Ballyduff.

Well done also to our U14 White Team who travelled the short trip to Keel on Thursday to face Keel/Listry. Our team just missed out in the end with the final score Milltown/Castlemaine 4-11 v 5-13 Keel/Listry on the night their were fantastic performances all over the field.
